The Williamsport Home

The Williamsport Home closed out 2011 with a successful fund raising season. As a non-profit organization The Williamsport Home understands the challenges that other non-profit's have. 

Because we have an Alzheimer's/Dementia Unit (The Garden Terrace) we support the Alzheimer's Association. This year we won the trophy for highest group fund raiser in Lycoming County with $9500 raised. This was a campus wide effort with staff, families and residents all contributing to the cause. Car washes, hot dog and soup sales, and home crafted item raffles (items crafted by both staff and residents) were very successful.

We also support the Salvation Army Festival of Trees fundraiser. Our tree was both the favorite tree and highest money raiser. We owe this to our staff, residents and our vendors who generously supported our efforts.

We also collected money and goods for local food banks. Many people are surprised to find out how vital and dynamic a Senior Living Community can be.
