What is Comfort Care?

Many recognize the term Hospice Care, which is end-of-life care. Here at The Williamsport Home, we like to use the term Comfort Care.

Our Comfort Care/End of Life Care program provides residents and their loved ones, a comfortable, peaceful and private environment coupled with a highly-trained staff to support you and your family physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Williamsport Home offers individualized care and recognizes the requests of both residents and their family members during this difficult time.

The Hawthorne and Dogwood Suites were designed to provide families a place to spend quality time and precious moments with their loved ones as they are nearing the end of their life. Families are invited to make themselves at home in the well-appointed kitchen and living room (with DVD, television, and internet access), while their loved one receives the care, compassion and support when it is needed most.

Our Comfort Care/End of Life Care program is open to residents and non-residents. Most medical insurance includes a hospice benefit which would apply to the program. We accept Medicare, private pay and most HMOs. Please contact us at 570.323.8781 with any payment or admission questions you may have.
