The primary function of this position is to serve as a resident advocate so as to ensure each residents psychosocial, spiritual needs and wishes are met and maintained from the time of admission through discharge.  The functions are provided in accordance with all federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations which govern the facility, and, as directed by the Social Services Director so as to ensure accurate rights and needs of each resident is met on a continuum.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work, or, bachelors degree in a human service field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, etc. and one year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to follow oral and written direction
